Key Responsibilities
In this dynamic role, no two days are the same. You will be essential in preparing our products for their journey to customers, with core duties including:
- Building secure custom crates and packaging to protect specialized components during transit.
- Operating heavy equipment like forklifts and overhead cranes to load trucks and manage inventory in the yard and paint areas.
- Conducting visual inspections of all items, reporting any imperfections to ensure only the highest quality products are shipped.
- Safely driving company trucks and vehicles as needed for logistics operations.
- Weighing, labeling, and securing all materials on appropriate pallets for shipment.
- Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe shipping and storage area, adhering to our strict health and safety protocols at all times.
Qualifications
We are looking for a team player who brings reliability and a strong work ethic. The ideal candidate will have:
- A valid driver’s license (a driver’s abstract will be required upon hire).
- 1-2 years of hands-on experience in a shipping or manufacturing environment.
- Proven experience safely operating a forklift.
- The physical capability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
- Strong English reading, writing, and comprehension skills for interpreting work orders and safety guidelines.
- A background with 5S or Lean Manufacturing principles is a valuable asset, but a willingness to learn is most important.
