Key Responsibilities
- Assist senior chefs with the preparation, cooking, and plating of various dishes according to established recipes and standards.
- Maintain impeccable cleanliness and organisation of your assigned workstation and the overall kitchen.
- Strictly adhere to all food safety, sanitation, and hygiene regulations at all times.
- Assist with inventory management, including receiving stock, proper storage, and First-In-First-Out (FIFO) rotation.
- Actively learn and implement new cooking techniques and skills under the guidance of the kitchen team.
- Participate in menu development by assisting in the preparation of new dishes and daily specials.
Qualifications
Required Skills and Experience:
- Proven knowledge of core cooking methods, ingredients, and kitchen equipment.
- Familiarity with international food safety and hygiene standards (HACCP principles are a plus).
- Ability to work efficiently and calmly in a high-pressure, fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Competent knife skills and the ability to use all kitchen tools safely and effectively.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Basic understanding of menu planning and food preparation techniques.
- This position is for an international location only and is not based in India. Applicants must be prepared and eligible to relocate.
