Key Responsibilities

You will be a key member of our maintenance teams, performing critical surface protection work. Your duties will include:

• Performing high-pressure and abrasive blasting on fixed plant equipment and structures.
• Applying industrial coatings, including high-build epoxies, using airless and conventional spray systems.
• Working to precise specifications to ensure long-term asset protection in harsh environments.
• Adhering strictly to all site safety procedures, including Working at Heights and Confined Space protocols.
• Contributing to the efficient completion of shutdown and maintenance scopes of work.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you must have:

• A Certificate III in Surface Preparation and Coating Application (or a relevant trade certificate) OR a minimum of 2 years’ proven experience in industrial painting/blasting.
• Current tickets: Working at Heights and Confined Space.
• A valid Construction White Card.
• An Australian Driver’s Licence.
• Unlimited Australian work rights.
• The ability to pass a pre-employment medical and ongoing drug and alcohol screenings.
• BHP and Rio Tinto site inductions are highly regarded.

Roster and Shift: 12-hour day or night shifts on a FIFO basis.
