Key Responsibilities

You will be the go-to technician ensuring our clients’ operations run smoothly. Your role will be a mix of workshop and on-site work, including:

  • Servicing, fault-finding, diagnosing, and repairing a wide range of packaging systems, labelling equipment, and weighing scales.
  • Travelling to customer sites across the region (from Kaikoura to Timaru) to perform equipment setup, calibrations, preventative maintenance, and urgent breakdown repairs.
  • Working effectively within a supportive, close-knit team while also managing your own schedule and customer interactions independently.
  • Providing exceptional customer service, communicating clearly about technical issues and solutions.
  • Maintaining accurate records and utilizing your problem-solving skills to deliver reliable, efficient service.

Qualifications

We are looking for a practical, customer-focused professional with a solid technical foundation. You will need:

  • At least 2+ years of hands-on experience diagnosing and fixing electrical, electronic, and/or mechanical faults.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as this is a highly customer-focused role.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities, good numeric skills, and meticulous attention to detail.
  • A full, clean New Zealand driver’s licence and the ability to comfortably handle regular physical lifting.
  • An intermediate level of computer literacy, particularly with Microsoft Office.
  • While experience with labelling/packaging equipment or scales is beneficial, a keen willingness to learn is most important full training is provided.
