Key Responsibilities
As an Installation Technician, you will be the friendly, professional face of TV Man’ in our customers’ homes. Your key duties will include:
- Visiting customer homes to expertly install, mount, and configure new televisions, home theatre systems, and integrated smart home technology.
- Performing UHF aerial and satellite dish installations to ensure perfect signal reception.
- Troubleshooting and efficiently resolving any technical issues customers encounter with their audio-visual equipment.
- Providing exceptional customer service by clearly explaining how new systems work and answering any questions.
- Maintaining an impeccable standard of work quality, adhering to all health and safety protocols, and keeping your company vehicle and workspace clean and organised.
- Participating in ongoing product training to stay current with the latest technology and installation techniques.
Qualifications
We are looking for a reliable technician with a great blend of technical skill and people skills. You will need:
- Proven experience as a television or home entertainment installation technician, with a strong practical understanding of audio/visual systems and smart home setups.
- Excellent problem-solving and independent troubleshooting abilities to diagnose and fix issues on-site.
- Outstanding customer service skills and the ability to explain technical details in a friendly, clear way.
- A valid driver’s licence, a strong attention to detail, and a commitment to high-quality workmanship.
- The right to work in New Zealand. A working at heights qualification is a valuable advantage.
- A flexible, team-oriented attitude and the ability to manage your own daily schedule efficiently.
