Key Responsibilities

As our Field Service Technician, you will be a vital mobile support for our clients’ operations. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Responding to on-site breakdowns, performing expert fault-finding, and conducting preventative maintenance to minimise customer downtime.
  • Installing, commissioning, and calibrating a range of production-line equipment, including coding, labelling, and inspection systems.
  • Providing clear training and support to customer operators and completing all service reports and timesheets with accuracy.
  • Managing spare parts inventory in your company vehicle and participating in an on-call roster (approximately 1 week in 4).
  • Working safely and professionally in various industrial and manufacturing environments, always representing Reynolds Group with expertise.

Qualifications

We are looking for a technician with the right foundation and a great attitude. The essentials are:

  • A current EAS (Electrical Appliance Serviceperson) registration or a higher NZ-recognised electrical qualification.
  • A full New Zealand driver’s licence.
  • Strong troubleshooting and fault-finding skills, with the ability to read and follow technical manuals and schematics.
  • Confident communication and customer-facing skills, with reliability and a strong safety focus.
  • The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of our supportive, experienced team.
  • While service experience with industrial or production equipment is beneficial, we are open to technicians early in their career—full training is provided.
