 Key Responsibilities
You will be responsible for the full fabrication process, from interpreting plans to final inspection. Your core duties will include:
- Reading and interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and welding symbols to plan the assembly and fabrication of steel structures.
- Performing precise structural steel fitting, ensuring all components are correctly aligned, clamped, and prepared before welding begins.
- Executing high-quality welds using TIG and MIG processes on various materials, including Carbon Steel, Stainless Steel, and Aluminium, according to project specifications.
- Conducting thorough visual and dimensional inspections of your own completed welds and assemblies to ensure they meet all quality and code requirements.
- Maintaining a strict adherence to all company and site-specific safety protocols, using proper personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Keeping your work area, tools, and equipment clean, organized, and in good working condition.
Qualifications
We are looking for a candidate with a proven track record and the right technical knowledge. The ideal fit will have:
- Demonstrated proficiency and experience in both TIG and MIG welding processes for structural applications.
- Solid hands-on experience in structural steel fitting, alignment, and fabrication for industrial or construction projects.
- Practical knowledge of different steel and aluminium grades and their appropriate welding techniques.
- The essential ability to read, understand, and work from detailed technical drawings and engineering blueprints.
