Key Responsibilities

As a Laundry Attendant, you will be a vital part of the hospital’s support services. Your primary duties will include:

• Processing residents’ personal clothing with care, including washing, drying, folding, and hanging items according to procedures.
• Accurately labeling clean clothing and delivering it to residents’ designated storage closets within the care units.
• Safely transferring and maneuvering laundry carts and large mobile containers (weighing up to 50 lbs) between the laundry facility and hospital units.
• Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work area, including all equipment and carts, at all times.
• Working efficiently in a fast-paced setting to meet schedules while maintaining a high standard of quality and attention to detail.
• Responding promptly and courteously to any special requests or needs communicated by the nursing and care staff.

Qualifications

We are looking for a responsible and physically capable individual who meets these key requirements:

• The physical ability to safely maneuver large mobile containers and perform repetitive tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
• The ability to work effectively both independently with minimal supervision and as a cooperative member of a team.
• Fluency in English (reading, writing, and speaking) is required for clear communication and understanding safety procedures.
• Must be reliable, punctual, courteous, and possess a strong sense of responsibility.
• Availability to work the scheduled shift of Tuesday to Saturday, from 6:00 am to 2:30 pm, is required.
• Mandatory Requirements: A clean criminal record check and up-to-date immunizations (including Hepatitis A & B, MMR, and Influenza) are required for this healthcare setting.
