Key Responsibilities

You’ll be out on site across a variety of civil and roading projects. No two days are the same.

  • Assist with traffic management setup, including coning out (manual and off the back of the deck), putting in tapers, and establishing contra-flow systems
  • Operate stop/go paddles and traffic lights to safely manage vehicle flow through work sites
  • Support road maintenance and upgrade crews with general labouring tasks
  • Assist with event traffic management during major Christchurch events
  • Keep work areas clean, organised, and hazard-free at all times
  • Work safely, follow instructions, and contribute to a positive team culture on site

Qualifications

We’re looking for people with the right attitude. Experience is a bonus, but reliability is everything.

You’ll be a great fit if you:

  • Have a genuine interest in the civil, roading, or infrastructure industry—the opportunities here are massive
  • Are physically fit and comfortable with manual labour in all weather conditions
  • Can follow instructions and work well as part of a team
  • Are punctual, reliable, and take pride in showing up ready to work
  • Have a clean drug-free status and can pass pre-employment and ongoing screening
  • Can pass a Ministry of Justice criminal history check

You must have:

  • A full Class 1 licence (or Class 2 is ideal). If you can get yourself to and from work safely, let’s talk we’re flexible for the right person

Previous civil experience is advantageous but not necessary. We provide full training for motivated candidates.
