Who We Are

We are Ella Community Pharmacy, a small but growing independent retail pharmacy located at 211 Jersey Street in Westfield. Unlike the big chains, we take the time to know our customers by name and treat them like neighbors—because they are. Our team is built on hard work, genuine care, and a shared commitment to providing excellent healthcare and customer service. We are looking for someone who wants to grow with us, take pride in their work, and share in the rewards of building a successful local business.

What You Will Be Doing

  • You will enter and process prescriptions using our PioneerRx software, maintaining accurate patient profiles and taking detailed notes on customer needs.
  • You will adjudicate insurance claims accurately and on time, ensuring prescriptions are ready for dispensing in-store or for home delivery.
  • You will count and fill prescriptions, package medications for our compliance packaging program, and prepare orders for facilities.
  • You will maintain proper pharmacy inventory, including restocking daily orders and helping place new orders as needed.
  • You will assist walk-in customers and answer phone calls with patience and professionalism, addressing their questions and concerns.
  • You will keep accurate pharmacy records, including filing paper prescriptions and maintaining organized files.
  • You will work closely with the pharmacist and the rest of the team to keep the workflow smooth and efficient every day.

What We Are Looking For

  • You are a certified, licensed, or registered pharmacy technician as required by Indiana state law.
  • You have previous retail pharmacy experience, whether in a chain or independent setting.
  • You have strong customer service skills and genuinely enjoy interacting with people.
  • You are available to work weekdays and alternating Saturdays as part of our schedule.
  • You have strong verbal and written communication skills and can interact professionally with patients and medical professionals.
  • You are adaptable and can thrive in a fast-paced, continually changing environment.
  • You are organized, detail-oriented, and able to follow through on tasks independently.
  • You are a team player who wants to grow with a small business and contribute to its success.
  • You have solid technological literacy, including Windows and Microsoft programs, and strong typing skills.
  • You have a verifiable high school diploma or GED.

It would be great if you also have:

  • Previous experience in an independent pharmacy setting.
  • Spanish language skills to help us serve a broader community.
  • National CPhT credentials or PTCB certification.

What You Will Gain

You will earn between $15.00 and $17.00 per hour based on your experience and qualifications. As a part-time team member, you will enjoy a flexible schedule that helps you balance work with your other commitments. We offer an employee discount because we believe in taking care of our own. Free parking makes your commute easier every day. And because we are a growing independent pharmacy, there are real opportunities for advancement as we expand. You will be part of a small team where your contributions are noticed, valued, and appreciated.
