Power Electronics is seeking hands-on Electrical Technicians to join our team, commissioning and maintaining Level 2 and Level 3 EV chargers for electric cars, buses, and trucks. What You Will Be Doing
- You will travel to customer sites across the country, performing start-up and commissioning of EV chargers to ensure they are operating correctly from day one.
- You will diagnose and repair faulty equipment, using your knowledge of MV-HV systems to identify issues and implement solutions.
- You will connect remotely to software systems, maintaining and troubleshooting communication infrastructure including networking hardware, IP devices, and IT systems.
- You will complete detailed field reports documenting your time, the work performed, and any observations from each site.
- You will conduct on-site system audits and evaluations, proactively identifying potential technical issues and suggesting corrective actions.
- You will perform physical installations as needed, including connections, wiring, and equipment setup.
- You will provide diagnostic analysis, repair services, and preventative maintenance to customers, ensuring their EV charging infrastructure remains reliable.
- You will be on the road Monday through Friday, traveling to client sites and returning home on weekends.
What We Are Looking For
- You have completed trade school in Electrical studies, or hold an Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field.
- You have hands-on experience troubleshooting medium-voltage and high-voltage equipment.
- You are proficient with electrical test equipment, including multimeters and other diagnostic tools.
- You have strong computer skills and are comfortable working with software systems and networking equipment.
- You are available to travel extensively—up to 90% of the time, Monday through Friday as required by our operations.
- You are a problem solver who can think critically and work independently at customer sites.
- You have strong communication skills and can document your work clearly and professionally.
