Key Responsibilities
As a Truck Driver with Autocare, you’ll be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of vehicles across Australia.
- Transport vehicles on vehicle carriers to dealerships and other sites, both intra and interstate.
- Prepare and check vehicle loads prior to departure and upon arrival at destinations, ensuring full compliance with National Heavy Vehicle Regulator and Autocare standards.
- Load and unload vehicles onto trailers with care and precision, following all safety protocols.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure equipment is in good working order.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and receiving teams to coordinate deliveries and address any issues promptly.
- Uphold Autocare’s commitment to safety, sustainability, and professionalism at all times.
Qualifications and Experience
We’re looking for drivers who are reliable, skilled, and committed to safety.
Essential Requirements:
- Hold a current Heavy Commercial Australian State Truck Drivers’ Licence appropriate for the vehicle type.
- Experience in transporting vehicles on carriers is highly regarded.
- Strong understanding of National Heavy Vehicle Regulator compliance requirements.
- Ability to load and unload vehicles safely and efficiently.
- A commitment to safety, with a clean driving record.
- Reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.
- Willingness to travel intra and interstate as required.
- Full Australian working rights.
Preferred (But Not Essential):
- Previous experience in vehicle transportation or logistics.
- Knowledge of routes across Australia, including interstate corridors.
