Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate manual machining equipment following standard procedures.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and schematics.
- Select, align, secure, and remove fixtures, cutting tools, and materials on machines.
- Use gauges and measuring instruments to ensure components meet tolerance specifications.
- Perform daily cleaning, maintenance, and light repairs on machinery and equipment.
- Recognize and properly deploy tooling, inserts, and fixtures for different tasks.
- Evaluate procedures and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency and adaptability.
- Follow all API, ISO, and HSE safety procedures and quality policies.
- Communicate job instructions clearly in English, both verbally and in writing.
- Lift and transfer products using overhead cranes and manual handling when required.
Qualifications
- Journeyman machinist ticket preferred.
- Minimum of 5–10 years of experience in manual machining or a similar environment.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Strong knowledge of metals, alloys, and material machinability.
- Familiarity with hollow spindle lathes, tooling, and their setup, maintenance, and repair.
- Ability to interpret technical instructions, perform calculations, and troubleshoot problems.
- Physically capable of standing, walking, reaching, and lifting up to 50 lbs as needed.
