Key Responsibilities

  • Safely operate manual machining equipment following standard procedures.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and schematics.
  • Select, align, secure, and remove fixtures, cutting tools, and materials on machines.
  • Use gauges and measuring instruments to ensure components meet tolerance specifications.
  • Perform daily cleaning, maintenance, and light repairs on machinery and equipment.
  • Recognize and properly deploy tooling, inserts, and fixtures for different tasks.
  • Evaluate procedures and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency and adaptability.
  • Follow all API, ISO, and HSE safety procedures and quality policies.
  • Communicate job instructions clearly in English, both verbally and in writing.
  • Lift and transfer products using overhead cranes and manual handling when required.

Qualifications

  • Journeyman machinist ticket preferred.
  • Minimum of 5–10 years of experience in manual machining or a similar environment.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Strong knowledge of metals, alloys, and material machinability.
  • Familiarity with hollow spindle lathes, tooling, and their setup, maintenance, and repair.
  • Ability to interpret technical instructions, perform calculations, and troubleshoot problems.
  • Physically capable of standing, walking, reaching, and lifting up to 50 lbs as needed.
