What You’ll Be Doing
- Service and Repair Medical Equipment: You’ll be working on dental, medical, and veterinary equipment—everything from installation to ongoing servicing and repairs.
- Work Independently:Â Once you’re up to speed, you’ll be trusted to run your own jobs and work unsupervised, managing your day and getting the job done.
- Troubleshoot and Problem-Solve:Â When equipment isn’t working right, you’ll diagnose the issue and carry out the necessary repairs.
- Build Relationships with Customers:Â You’ll be the face of Medx when you’re on site. Great people skills and a professional manner are essential.
- Keep Learning: We provide all training for this specialised industry. You don’t need to know medical equipment coming in—we’ll teach you.
- Take Pride in Your Work:Â We go the extra mile to make sure every job is top-notch. You’ll take the same pride in your workmanship.
What We Need From You
- Experience Background:Â Whiteware, pneumatics, electronics, electrical engineering, or biomedical experience if you’ve worked in any of these areas, you’re on the right track.
- Qualification:Â A current EST or EAS qualification with at least 4 years post-qualification experience.
- Driver’s Licence:Â A clean full NZ Driver’s licence is essential.
- Work Independently:Â You need to be able to work unsupervised and run your own jobs from start to finish.
- Computer Skills:Â Intermediate level computer skills are required for reporting and admin tasks.
- Honest and Trustworthy:Â We work in sensitive healthcare environments. Integrity is non-negotiable.
- Pride in Workmanship:Â You take pride in what you do and go the extra mile to make sure the job is done right.
- Great People Skills:Â You’ll get along with fellow workmates and build positive relationships with customers.
