Key Responsibilities by Role
- Concrete supervisors will oversee site operations, coordinate crews, manage project schedules, and ensure all concrete works are delivered to specification and safety standards.
- Concrete leading hands will guide and support teams on the ground, assign tasks, monitor progress, and ensure quality standards are maintained throughout each pour.
- Concrete finishers will be responsible for achieving smooth, level, and durable finished surfaces using hand tools, power trowels, and other finishing equipment.
- Concrete screeding hands will operate screeding equipment to level and compact freshly poured concrete ensuring proper grade and alignment before finishing begins.
- Concrete labourers will support all aspects of concrete operations including site preparation, material handling, assisting with pours, and cleanup activities.
- All team members will work collaboratively to ensure concrete placements are executed efficiently, safely, and to the highest quality standards.
- Use of various concrete equipment including vibrators, screeds, trowels, and power floats will be required depending on the specific role and project needs.
Qualifications
A Construction White Card is mandatory for all positions. Candidates must have proven experience in concreting within a civil or commercial construction environment with a strong understanding of concrete placement, finishing techniques, and quality requirements. A Medium Rigid Truck Licence is an advantage and will be highly regarded for candidates who can assist with transport and material movement. Attention to detail is essential to achieve the precision required for high quality concrete finishes. A current drivers licence and own reliable transport are mandatory as projects are located across Adelaide and South Australia. Applicants must reside in Australia and hold valid working rights.
