Key Responsibilities

  • Install and upgrade externally mounted telecommunications equipment including RF antenna systems, feeders, and external RF hardware such as RRUs, TMAs, combiners, and microwave equipment.
  • Perform feeder system installation, termination, and testing for both copper and hybrid feeder cables ensuring all connections meet client specifications and industry standards.
  • Carry out structural installations including steel work upgrades, cable tray installations, and tower, pole, and mast installations as required for each project.
  • Complete microwave transmission installation and link panning activities ensuring accurate alignment and optimal performance of microwave links.
  • Submit applicable handover documentation for all completed works ensuring records are accurate and delivered in a timely manner.
  • Provide input, solutions, and feedback to field managers as required ensuring safety and quality are never compromised in the pursuit of meeting project scope.
  • Identify and report any scope variation works required on site to project managers and engineers for appropriate action and approval.
  • Work collaboratively with team members in a high paced environment maintaining a proactive and positive attitude to health safety and environmental practices and quality assurance.

Qualifications

A High Risk Fork Licence for Dogger is required with Intermediate or Advanced Rigger qualifications highly preferred. Candidates must hold current Working at Heights certification and Rescue at Heights certification. A Construction Industry White Card is mandatory as is RF Awareness certification. A valid drivers licence is required. Candidates must have a minimum of two years telecommunications rigging experience with a solid understanding of carrier build and installation standards. Experience working on carrier level telecommunications networks particularly with NSW TA or Optus is highly regarded. A high level of attention to detail and a solutions focused approach are essential.
