This is a permanent full time role where you will work a minimum of 40 hours per week on a wide range of heavy vehicle brands including Volvo, MAN, Scania, BCI, and Mitsubishi. You will carry out both proactive and reactive maintenance, including COF inspections, day to day servicing, and repairs on diesel and petrol motors, as well as other fleet vehicles. Key Responsibilities

  • Perform proactive and reactive maintenance on a diverse fleet of heavy vehicles, including Volvo, MAN, Scania, BCI, and Mitsubishi.
  • Carry out COF inspections, day to day servicing, and repairs on diesel and petrol motors.
  • Diagnose faults and complete repairs efficiently and accurately, ensuring all vehicles meet safety and performance standards.

Qualifications

A NZQA Level 4 Heavy Automotive Qualification or equivalent experience is required. Candidates must hold a current NZ Driver Licence with Class 1 required and Class 2 to 4 preferred. Candidates with EV training or qualifications on light or heavy vehicles will be prioritised. Reliability, strong attention to detail, and a health and safety focused mindset are essential. Physical capability to lift up to 25 kilograms is required. Tech savviness, a positive, enthusiastic attitude, and a genuine interest in working on buses are important. Applicants must have the right to work in New Zealand at the time of application.
