Key Responsibilities
- Drive to multiple locations across Burnaby, ensuring each site is maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness.
- Clean and maintain common rooms, kitchens, and washrooms, ensuring all surfaces are sanitized and free of debris.
- Sweep and mop floors, paying close attention to high traffic areas and ensuring a clean, safe walking surface.
- Take out and properly dispose of garbage, following established waste management protocols.
- Maintain all cleaning equipment and materials in a safe and sanitary working condition, reporting any issues to the supervisor.
- Monitor and report any repairs or required replacements, helping to keep facilities in top condition.
- Work efficiently during night shifts, managing time effectively to complete assigned tasks.
Qualifications
Knowledge of cleaning and sanitation products, techniques, and methods is essential. WHMIS Certification is an asset. Candidates must have physical stamina and mobility, including the ability to reach, kneel, and bend, as well as lift, push, and pull loads up to 50 pounds. A valid Class 5 driver’s licence and access to a reliable vehicle are required. The ability to pass a Canadian background check is necessary. Full vaccination is required for this role. Reliability, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety are key.
