Key Responsibilities
- Take pride in ensuring the home is clean, hygienic, and safe for residents, their families, and staff.
- Deliver cleaning services to the highest standards, including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, waste removal, and sanitizing high touch surfaces.
- Work collaboratively with the care team to maintain a welcoming and comfortable environment that feels like home.
- Implement and maintain hygiene management systems, contributing to regular audits and site inspections.
- Follow all work, health, and safety principles, using equipment and cleaning products correctly.
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards promptly to ensure a safe living environment.
- Approach each task with a positive, can‑do attitude, understanding the importance of your role in the daily lives of residents.
Qualifications
A genuine passion for aged care and a desire to enrich the lives of older people are essential. Previous cleaning experience in a commercial, healthcare, or hospitality setting is highly valued, but a strong work ethic and attention to detail are equally important. You should be a team player with excellent time management skills and the ability to work independently. A warm, empathetic nature and a can‑do approach are key to thriving in this role. Physical fitness to perform cleaning tasks, including standing, bending, and lifting, is required. A commitment to work, health, and safety principles is essential.
