Key Responsibilities
As a Cleaner at our school, you will play a key role in maintaining our high standards of cleanliness and hygiene. Your responsibilities will include:
- Performing internal cleaning duties such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming carpets, and cleaning furniture and fittings.
- Maintaining bathroom facilities to a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene.
- Completing external cleaning tasks, including verandas, covered areas, and rubbish removal.
- Dusting, window cleaning, and removing cobwebs to ensure a tidy environment.
- Safely operating cleaning equipment and following all established cleaning procedures and safety practices.
- Working collaboratively with the cleaning team and reporting any maintenance issues to the Cleaner In Charge.
Qualifications
We are looking for a reliable and conscientious individual who aligns with our school’s values. The ideal candidate will have:
- A strong work ethic, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work well in a team.
- Good knowledge of cleaning equipment, methods, and safe cleaning practices.
- A friendly and welcoming demeanour.
- The eligibility to obtain a valid Working with Children Check and a National Police Clearance.
- Australian/New Zealand citizenship, permanent residency, or a valid visa with full work rights.
