Key Responsibilities

You will be the backbone of our logistics, ensuring smooth operations from the warehouse to the rooftop. Your main duties will include:

• Safely operating company pick-up trucks with trailers to transport roofing materials, tools, and equipment between our Gatineau warehouse, suppliers, and active job sites.
• Performing daily vehicle safety checks, maintaining a clean and organized truck and trailer, and promptly reporting any mechanical issues.
• Actively assisting with the loading and unloading of materials, using proper techniques to secure loads and prevent damage during transit.
• Helping crews with initial job site setup by delivering and placing equipment, materials, and safety gear as directed.
• Strictly adhering to all road safety laws, company transportation policies, and industry-standard material handling procedures.
• Maintaining organization and inventory levels at the home warehouse, ensuring materials are stored safely and accessibly.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• A valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL-Class 3 or equivalent) with a clean driving abstract.
• Proven experience safely driving pick-up trucks with loaded trailers. Previous roofing or construction logistics experience is a major asset.
• Good physical fitness, with the ability to lift heavy materials and equipment repeatedly throughout the day.
• Strong familiarity with the local Gatineau and National Capital Region roadways to plan efficient delivery routes.
• A rock-solid work ethic being punctual, dependable, and committed to supporting the team’s schedule and goals.
• Excellent attention to detail for following delivery instructions, organizing loads, and completing required paperwork accurately
