 Key Responsibilities

You will be directly responsible for maintaining the high standards of cleanliness and infection control that are paramount in an aged care setting. Your key duties will include:

• Performing thorough routine and ad-hoc cleaning of resident rooms, communal areas, service areas, and equipment.
• Ensuring all cleaning practices strictly adhere to WHS policies, Aged Care Quality Standards, and infection control guidelines.
• Maintaining cleaning storerooms, managing stock levels of consumables, and reporting any equipment issues promptly.
• Recording and immediately reporting any incidents, hazards, or maintenance concerns to ensure a safe environment.
• Following all emergency management and evacuation procedures with diligence.
• Treating every resident, visitor, and colleague with the utmost respect, dignity, and confidentiality.

Qualifications

We are looking for a caring and conscientious individual who understands the importance of this role. The successful candidate will have:

• Previous experience in a cleaning role, with experience in aged care, health, or a similar environment being highly regarded.
• A strong understanding of different cleaning chemicals and their appropriate use on various surfaces.
• The ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively as part of a team, managing time and priorities effectively.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to remain calm and efficient.
