Key Responsibilities
You will be a crucial part of our maintenance operations, ensuring our equipment meets the highest standards of safety and functionality. Your daily work will include:
- Performing expert repairs and maintenance on front-load, rear-load, and roll-off containers using MIG and ARC welding techniques.
- Fabricating and cutting steel components for hoppers, containers, and compactors using brakes, shears, plasma cutters, and torches.
- Installing hardware such as lids, wheels, and decals to restore containers to company specifications.
- Preparing and painting repaired containers using airless sprayers to ensure a professional, durable finish.
- Completing all required job documentation and safety paperwork accurately and on time.
- Following all safety policies and procedures meticulously, referring only the most complex issues to your Supervisor.
Qualifications
We are looking for a dependable professional with a solid foundation in welding and fabrication. The ideal candidate will have:
- A welding certification and a minimum of 1 year of direct welding experience OR the completion of a formal welding program.
- Advanced, hands-on proficiency with MIG and stick welders, plasma cutters, airless paint sprayers, and standard hand tools.
- The ability to work efficiently with minimal supervision, following both written and verbal directions accurately.
- Strong communication skills and a keen attention to detail, ensuring all work meets quality and safety standards.
