Key Responsibilities
You will play a critical role in our quality control process, utilizing your specialized skills to verify the integrity of materials and welds. Your primary duties will include:
- Performing Non-Destructive Tests (NDT) on welds and components using Magnetic Particle (MT), Liquid Penetrant (PT), Ultrasonic (UT), and Radiographic (RT) methods.
- Interpreting and evaluating test results in accordance with relevant codes, standards, and specifications.
- Preparing detailed and accurate technical reports on test findings.
- Maintaining and calibrating NDT equipment to ensure optimal performance and accuracy.
- Adhering to strict health, safety, and environmental procedures at all times, particularly with radiographic testing.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess the formal certifications and technical foundation necessary to excel in this role.
- A Diploma or higher qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Material Science, or a related field.
- Mandatory PCN or ASNT Level 2 certification in Magnetic Particle Testing (MT) and Liquid Penetrant Testing (PT).
- Mandatory PCN or ASNT Level 2 certification in Ultrasonic Testing (UT) and Radiographic Testing (RT).
- A strong understanding of welding processes, codes, and standards.
- A meticulous eye for detail and an unwavering commitment to quality and safety.
