 Key Responsibilities

In this fast-paced airport role, you will perform a variety of essential tasks that keep flights running smoothly and safely. Your core duties will include:

• Safely and efficiently loading and unloading baggage and cargo from aircraft.
• Sorting and transporting baggage using the appropriate equipment and vehicles.
• Operating specialised ground support machinery, such as baggage tugs and belt loaders.
• Performing aircraft push-back procedures in coordination with flight crew and ground control.
• Conducting basic cabin cleaning and preparation between flights.
• Adhering strictly to all aviation security protocols, safety procedures, and weight restrictions.

Qualifications

This is a safety-critical role with specific, non-negotiable requirements. To be eligible, you must possess:

• One to two years of proven experience as a baggage handler, freight handler, or in a similar manual handling role.
• A current Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC) – a RED ASIC is mandatory.
• A current driver’s licence (P-Plates or higher) and reliable own transport to get to Brisbane Airport.
• Full, unrestricted working rights in Australia.
• The physical capability to safely and regularly lift items up to 30kg and be on your feet for the entire shift.
• The ability to pass a comprehensive security check, pre-employment medical, and drug and alcohol screening.
• A very strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and an unwavering commitment to safe work practices.
