Key Responsibilities
As a TEAM Driver with Shoreland Transport, you will be essential to our coast-to-coast logistics. Your role focuses on safety, reliability, and professional service:
- Safely operate a Class 1 commercial vehicle as part of a driving team on designated long-haul routes across Canada.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections, ensuring all vehicle systems and refrigerated equipment (reefer) are functioning correctly.
- Adhere strictly to all hours-of-service regulations, transportation laws, and company safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate logbooks and all necessary transport documentation.
- Provide professional, courteous service when interacting with customers and receivers.
- Work collaboratively with your driving partner to ensure efficient trip management and timely deliveries.
Qualifications
We are looking for team players who meet a high standard of professionalism. The required qualifications are:
- A valid Class 1 Driver’s License with a clean driving abstract.
- A certificate from an accredited driver training school.
- An excellent, verifiable safety record and driving experience.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and spoken.
- The ability to pass a criminal background check.
- A commitment to flexible hours and extended time on the road as required by team driving schedules.
- Experience operating refrigerated transportation equipment is a significant asset.
