Key Responsibilities

As a Front End Assistant, you are crucial to creating a smooth and welcoming checkout experience. Your core duties will include:

  • Greeting members warmly, assisting them to load items onto the conveyor, and determining their packing preferences.
  • Efficiently and carefully packing purchased items into boxes, checking for any tampering, and loading them onto a trolley.
  • Providing prompt, courteous service by answering member questions, informing them of promotions, and thanking them for their shop.
  • Assisting members with loading orders into their vehicles when appropriate.
  • Supporting cashiers by quickly retrieving requested items like merchandise or supplies to keep checkout lines moving.
  • Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised front-end area, including promptly cleaning spills and tidying register stations.
  • Collecting trolleys from the car park using safe procedures and helping to keep the lot free of debris.
  • Performing opening and closing duties such as stocking registers, returning products, and completing necessary paperwork.
