Key Responsibilities

In this fast-paced production role, you will be a key part of our operational team. Your core duties will include:

  • Operating machinery and performing manual tasks within a manufacturing production line, maintaining high efficiency and quality standards.
  • Safely and regularly lifting, moving, and handling items weighing up to 15-20kg.
  • Strictly adhering to all workplace health, safety, and quality control procedures.
  • Working effectively as part of a close-knit team to meet production targets.
  • Utilising basic computer systems for data entry or production monitoring as required.
  • Following the structured rotating roster of 12-hour shifts (2 days, 2 nights, then 4 days off).

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to meet the following essential criteria:

  • Proven experience in a manufacturing environment, with experience in food production being highly advantageous.
  • A strong understanding of and commitment to workplace health, safety, and quality standards.
  • A reliable, team-player attitude with the ability to work well under pressure.
  • A valid New Zealand Class 1 Full Driver’s Licence. Forklift (F endorsement) and OSH tickets are a strong advantage.
  • Must currently reside in the Clutha District and have the legal right to work in New Zealand (we are unable to sponsor work visas).
  • The ability to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol screening and a Ministry of Justice criminal background check.
