Key Responsibilities

As a Personal Care Assistant, you will be a trusted support to both our residents and the Resident Care Workers (RCWs). Your compassionate assistance will be central to our daily operations, including:

Providing kind, respectful, and personalized assistance to residents with their daily living activities under the guidance of RCWs.
Conducting regular health checks, including taking and recording residents’ temperatures, to support their overall wellness.
Safely assisting residents with mobility, including transporting them to various areas of the residence such as the dining hall, activity rooms, or common areas.
Helping to create a pleasant dining experience by recording resident attendance and conducting temperature checks at meal times.
Observing and reporting any changes in a resident’s condition or needs to the supervising care team.
Contributing to a positive, safe, and homelike atmosphere for all residents.

Qualifications

The most important qualification for this role is a genuine heart for service. The ideal candidate will possess:

A natural sense of caring, compassion, and patience for working with seniors.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trusting relationships.
Reliability, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a care team.

Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Legal authorization to work in Canada is required for all applicants.
