Key Responsibilities
In this senior technical role, you will oversee vital facility operations and lead maintenance excellence. Your core tasks will include:
- Directly supervise the inspection, preventive maintenance, and repair of critical MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) and HVAC systems to ensure optimal uptime and performance.
- Manage building alteration projects, capital improvements, and contractor activities from planning to completion, ensuring they meet scope, budget, and timeline.
- Ensure all facility operations and works strictly comply with government legislation, DHL safety rules, and environmental, health and safety standards. You must qualify for and may serve on site emergency teams.
- Oversee daily facility operations including janitorial services, repair & maintenance activities, and ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) tasks, managing technicians’ rosters and work orders.
- Proactively identify system performance issues, recommend energy-efficient solutions or upgrades, and provide technical guidance to junior team members.
- Build effective relationships with stakeholders, communicate complex technical information clearly, and resolve conflicts to ensure smooth project delivery.
Qualifications
We are seeking an accomplished professional with a robust technical background and leadership capability. The ideal candidate will possess:
- Tertiary education or above in Electrical, Mechanical, Building Services Engineering, or Facilities Management.
- Licensure: Must hold an Approved Electrical License (Grade A).
- A minimum of 10 years of solid, hands-on experience in facility management, building services maintenance, or construction/engineering, gained from an owner, landlord, developer, contractor, or consultancy.
- Advanced skills in working from blueprints and schematics, performing predictive maintenance, and using diagnostic tools (multimeters, etc.). Basic welding/soldering skills and familiarity with electrical tagging rules are required.
- Excellent problem-solving and complaints handling skills, proficiency in MS Office, willingness to travel across facilities, and ability to work on a shift schedule with limited supervision.
