Key Responsibilities
In this pivotal role, you will coordinate and execute the daily operations of our warehouse repair and overhaul activities, ensuring efficiency and compliance. Your duties will include:
- Coordinating workload planning and daily operations for equipment repair, overhaul, shipping, receiving, and inventory management.
- Investigating equipment prices and availability, and processing material returns in accordance with established procedures.
- Generating reports and maintaining accurate data within our enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems to track repair metrics and inventory.
- Assisting in the development and maintenance of all repair and overhaul processes, work instructions, and colleague training.
- Participating in internal and external audits and engaging with contractors to support operational needs.
- Upholding the highest standards of occupational health and safety within the warehouse environment.
- Participating as a member of key teams such as the Joint Health and Safety Committee (JHSC) or Emergency Response Team (ERT).
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will bring:
- A minimum high school diploma or equivalent.
- 5+ years of proven experience in a warehouse environment, specifically in repair/overhaul coordination, inventory management, and logistics.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word) and experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems (IFS experience is a strong asset).
- Excellent organizational, time management, and attention-to-detail skills.
- Knowledge of warehouse methods, stock control, documentation control, and material management for major equipment.
- Flexibility to work varied hours, including early mornings, late afternoons, and on-call weekends as required.
- Eligibility to obtain a Canadian Secret Security clearance and ITAR clearance.
Assets that will distinguish your application:
- A Supply Chain or Logistics certification.
- Experience with Department of National Defence (DND) supply chain processes and DRMIS.
- Familiarity with MHE operation (forklifts, pallet jacks) and Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS).
