Key Responsibilities
In this hands-on technical role, you will be an integral part of our transmission maintenance team. Your duties will include:
- Assisting senior technicians in transmission cable jointing, sealing end assembly, and the installation, operation, and maintenance of cable system accessories and alarms.
- Supporting cable fitters in cable fluid treatment and feeding operations related to jointing and maintenance activities.
- Assisting engineers in conducting tests and various works on transmission cable systems.
- Performing regular cable patrols to help prevent damage to underground cable assets.
- Interpreting assembly drawings, equipment manuals, and following all safety and operational procedures.
Qualifications and Skills
We are looking for a qualified and dedicated individual with:
- HKCEE or HKDSE with passes in both English and Chinese.
- Completion of a recognized Craft Apprenticeship for Cable Jointer (Power) or equivalent.
- A minimum of 5 years’ relevant working experience in power cable jointing work at 132-kV or above voltage levels.
- Practical knowledge and proven skills in high-voltage cable jointing techniques.
- The ability to perform outdoor manual work and a willingness to work in various conditions.
- Self-discipline, motivation, and good interpersonal communication skills.
- The ability to understand simple English technical instructions.
- A valid driving license for Class 1, 2, and 18 is a distinct advantage.
