What You’ll Do
Your focus will be on the behind-the-scenes operations that keep our fresh departments running smoothly for customers. Key responsibilities include:
- Proactively zoning assigned areas to ensure a neat, inviting appearance and fully stocked shelves. Rotating all products using First-In, First-Out (FIFO) procedures to guarantee freshness and minimize waste.
- Rigorously adhering to all food safety and cold chain procedures. This includes accurate temperature checks, proper recording, safe food handling, and following strict sanitation and cleaning protocols.
- Ensuring all merchandise is correctly signed, flagged, and priced. Following proper procedures for markdowns, clearance, and new product labels.
- Preparing the department for business by ensuring it is fully stocked, organized, and meets all visual and safety standards.
- Providing friendly, efficient service by answering customer questions and helping them locate products.
What You Bring
We are looking for reliable individuals who understand the importance of food safety and presentation.
- A strong attention to detail and a commitment to following procedures accurately.
- An understanding of (or willingness to learn) food safety standards and cold chain compliance.
- The ability to work efficiently, both independently and as part of a team.
- Physical ability to lift, carry, and stock merchandise, and to stand/walk for extended periods.
- A reliable and punctual work ethic.
- A positive attitude and good communication skills.
- Previous experience in grocery, retail, or a food handling environment is beneficial but not required.
