Your Role: What You’ll Be Doing

You will apply your high-level trade skills to a diverse range of tasks that keep Queensland connected. Your key responsibilities include:

  • Performing planned and unplanned maintenance, repairs, and construction on our Low Voltage (LV) and High Voltage (HV) overhead distribution network.
  • Constructing and augmenting network infrastructure to meet the evolving needs of residential, commercial, and industrial customers.
  • Installing, repairing, commissioning, and maintaining various electrical equipment and plant across our vast regional network.
  • Participating in an on-call roster for emergency response work to ensure community power reliability.
  • Travelling to surrounding areas as required to support network operations.

The Skills And Qualifications You Bring

To power success in this role, you will need:

  • A current Queensland Electrical Licensing Board Certification as an Electrical Linesperson (mandatory).
  • Proven, hands-on experience in the construction and maintenance of electricity distribution-transmission systems.
  • A current ‘C’ Class Driver’s Licence.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for effective teamwork and customer engagement.
  • Availability for emergency call-outs and a willingness to travel for work.
  • A strong, inherent commitment to a safety-first culture.
