We are looking for a dedicated animal lover to join our team, offering the chance to live in a beautiful rural setting near Wellsford while caring for our canine guests. Key Responsibilities
You will be entrusted with the safety, exercise, and happiness of our canine clients. Your core duties will include:
- Safely walking and handling packs of dogs off-lead in various environments, including beaches, parks, and bush trails.
- Transporting dogs between their homes, walking locations, and our premium farm stay facility.
- Providing attentive care for dogs boarding at our farm, ensuring their well-being and comfort during their stay.
- Maintaining excellent communication with dog owners and the TCH team.
- Managing your schedule and tasks independently with a high degree of responsibility.
Qualifications
This role requires a genuine passion for dogs and a responsible, professional attitude. The ideal candidate will be:
- An experienced dog handler with proven work experience or formal qualifications in animal care.
- Physically fit, reliable, honest, and highly motivated.
- In possession of a clean New Zealand driver’s licence.
- Able to work flexibly, including weekends, and thrive when working independently.
- Excellent with communication and customer service.
- Legally able to operate as a self-employed contractor for this work.
- Someone who genuinely loves dogs, beaches, parks, and the NZ bush.
