Key Responsibilities

In this customer-facing role, you will be the critical link between our clients, insurers, and our project delivery teams. Your key duties will include:

  • Attending sites to assess damage and prepare accurate estimates and quotes for building reinstatement works.
  • Interpreting scopes of work provided by insurance assessors and consultants, and writing detailed scopes when required.
  • Building and maintaining strong professional relationships with key insurance personnel, clients, and subcontractors.
  • Collaborating with our supervisors to ensure quotes align with project budgets and timelines.
  • Coordinating site access and managing all pre-construction client liaison.
  • Ensuring all work scopes and processes comply with health, safety, and legislative requirements.
  • Managing multiple estimates and priorities efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

We are looking for a proactive and professional individual with the following:

  • A background in the building trade or construction, supported by relevant qualifications or significant experience.
  • Experience in estimating, insurance building, or project coordination is highly advantageous but not essential for a candidate with the right aptitude.
  • Excellent computer literacy and strong skills in communication, customer service, and relationship building.
  • The ability to empathise with clients in often stressful situations and manage multiple competing priorities.
  • A sound work ethic, drive, and a solid understanding of health & safety practices and current market rates.
  • A current driver’s licence and the right to work in New Zealand.
