 Key Responsibilities

As a Cleaner at our school, you will play a key role in maintaining our high standards of cleanliness and hygiene. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Performing internal cleaning duties such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming carpets, and cleaning furniture and fittings.
  • Maintaining bathroom facilities to a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene.
  • Completing external cleaning tasks, including verandas, covered areas, and rubbish removal.
  • Dusting, window cleaning, and removing cobwebs to ensure a tidy environment.
  • Safely operating cleaning equipment and following all established cleaning procedures and safety practices.
  • Working collaboratively with the cleaning team and reporting any maintenance issues to the Cleaner In Charge.

Qualifications

We are looking for a reliable and conscientious individual who aligns with our school’s values. The ideal candidate will have:

  • A strong work ethic, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work well in a team.
  • Good knowledge of cleaning equipment, methods, and safe cleaning practices.
  • A friendly and welcoming demeanour.
  • The eligibility to obtain a valid Working with Children Check and a National Police Clearance.
  • Australian/New Zealand citizenship, permanent residency, or a valid visa with full work rights.
