Key Responsibilities
As a CDL Driver, your daily duties will include:
- Safely operating dump trucks and other assigned commercial vehicles.
- Conducting thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and DOT compliance.
- Maintaining accurate logs of driving hours, deliveries, and vehicle maintenance records.
- Following established routes and schedules to ensure timely delivery of materials.
- Adhering to all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies.
- Communicating effectively with dispatchers and customers about delivery times, route changes, or any issues encountered.
- Loading and unloading freight using forklifts or other equipment safely and efficiently when required.
- Keeping vehicles clean and well-maintained.
Qualifications
We’re looking for an experienced driver with a strong safety record and the right certifications.
Required Qualifications:
- Valid Class A or B CDL license.
- Proven experience in commercial driving, including route driving and delivery operations.
- Proficiency in operating manual transmission trucks.
- Experience driving dump trucks (experience with flatbeds, refrigerated trailers, tanker trucks, or roll-off trucks is a plus).
- Strong knowledge of DOT regulations, safety standards, and vehicle maintenance procedures.
- Excellent driving record with a focus on safety and compliance.
- Physical ability to handle heavy loads and perform regular vehicle inspections.
- Reliable, punctual, and professional demeanor.
Preferred Endorsements:
- Tanker or hazmat endorsements as applicable.
Compensation and Schedule
- Pay: $22.00 – $24.00 per hour
