We are building a world-class team of technicians for a major offshore wind project in Taiwan. We are seeking highly competent and safety-focused Wind Turbine Technicians who are ready to take on the challenges of offshore installation, commissioning, and maintenance. Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient execution of complex technical work on offshore wind turbines. Your core duties will include:

  • Executing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting on Vestas offshore wind turbines.
  • Rigorously applying the Wind Turbine Safety Rules (WTSR) as a formal Safe System of Work to manage high-risk energy sources and protect personnel.
  • Safely operating and inspecting Avanti service lifts and other access equipment within the turbine, following strict manufacturer protocols.
  • Participating in turbine installation, commissioning activities, and major component exchanges.
  • Conducting advanced rescue operations and providing enhanced first aid in a remote offshore environment.
  • Accurately documenting all work activities, safety checks, and parts usage in compliance with company and client reporting systems.

Qualifications 

To be successful, you must possess a strong technical background and hold the following current, valid certifications:

  • This is a non-negotiable requirement. You must hold a full suite of GWO Basic Safety Training, plus:
  • Certification in advanced lifesaving measures for remote environments.
  •  Valid certification in Vestas MMI and Practical Training, Technical Training, and Operational Safety modules.
  • Certification as a competent technician under the WTSR framework, which is critical for implementing a Safe System of Work.
  • Formal operator training for Avanti service lifts (e.g., Dolphin, LXL models) or equivalent “Lift User” certification.
  •  A valid OGUK or RUK Medical Certificate, which includes successfully passing the Chester Step Test to demonstrate aerobic fitness for offshore work.
