What You’ll Be Doing
- Setting up and welding high temperature alloys:Â You’ll work on turbine engine components, using TIG welding to perform repairs according to manual requirements.
- Applying gas backup and chilled bars:Â You’ll use these techniques as needed to perform efficient weld repairs.
- Performing manual and laser welding:Â You’ll work with different weld configurations across various products.
- Identifying and replacing basic fixture/tooling:Â You’ll notice when tooling is worn and replace it as needed.
- Refining welding parameters:Â You’ll make simple adjustments to improve weld quality.
- Performing scheduled maintenance and housekeeping:Â You’ll keep your workspace and equipment in good order.
- Passing proficiency tests:Â You’ll sit for periodic welder’s proficiency tests, both internally and through CAAS (Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore).
- Following manufacturing operation sheets and SOPs:Â You’ll work from English-language documentation to ensure consistency and quality.
What We’re Looking For
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum GCE ‘O’ level education.
- At least 3 years of relevant experience in TIG Welding.
- Preferably NITEC-Higher NITEC in Welding.
- Relevant TIG certificates, preferably CAAS approval in TIG Welding/General Welding or equivalent.
- Ability to read and understand manufacturing operation sheets and standard operating procedures in English.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of measuring instruments and TIG Welding techniques.
- Ability to fully comprehend process parameters and consistently produce good quality parts.
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings and instructions.
- Team player attitude you work well with others and contribute to a positive environment.
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
