Key Responsibilities
As a delivery driver, you’ll be the face of our service, ensuring customers receive their orders fresh and on time.
- Drive 2-tonne refrigerated vans safely and efficiently, delivering fresh food to residential and business customers across the Canberra region and surrounding areas.
- Complete home deliveries and business deliveries with precision, ensuring all orders reach the correct addresses within the provided delivery window.
- Follow maps and instructions carefully, locating correct addresses and adapting to route changes as needed.
- Load your van at the warehouse following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), ensuring products are properly secured and organised.
- Communicate professionally with customers, providing a positive experience at every stop.
- Adhere to all safety and compliance requirements, maintaining the highest standards of professionalism.
Schedule
- Day Shift Start Times:Â 5:30 AM for regional routes – 6:00-6:30 AM for ACT metro routes
- Required Days:Â Friday, Saturday, Monday, and Wednesday (3-4 days per week)
- Area:Â All Canberra region and surrounding areas
- Shift Work:Â Day shifts only
Qualifications and Experience
We’re looking for drivers with experience, professionalism, and a strong commitment to getting the job done right.
Essential Requirements:
- Previous experience as a delivery or courier driver is important and preferred.
- MUST be able to drive 2-tonne refrigerated vans (van provided).
- Very good command of home delivery, business deliveries, and locating correct addresses.
- Familiarity with the Canberra region and surrounding areas.
- Ability to follow maps, instructions, and delivery windows precisely.
- MUST have an ABN and be registered for GST (you’ll work as a subcontractor and invoice per route).
- Professionalism and a positive attitude are key to success in this role.
- Ability to follow warehouse SOPs for loading the van.
Preferred (But Not Essential):
- Experience delivering for food or refrigerated courier services.
- Knowledge of the specific requirements for clients like Hello Fresh, Youfoodz, or Lyka.
Compensation
- Pay Type:Â Subcontractor (invoice per route)
- Daily Rate: $200 – $350 per day (route cost will be discussed with shortlisted applicants)
