Tradextra is a small, agile business of around 30 staff, built on the principle of looking after our customers. Based in Albany, we pride ourselves on being responsive and building lasting relationships, particularly within the construction industry. Key Responsibilities
Starting each day at our Albany distribution centre, you’ll be at the heart of our customer service. Your role will be dynamic, requiring you to think on your feet. Key duties include:
- Loading your van with customer orders and planning your delivery route for the day.
- Delivering orders to clients across Auckland, adapting efficiently to any last-minute changes or urgent requests.
- Re-loading your van as needed and occasionally picking up stock from suppliers.
- Building positive rapport with customers at every stop.
- Communicating clearly with the team back at base to keep everyone updated on delivery status and any on-the-road challenges.
Qualifications
We’re looking for a person, not just a resume. The right fit for our team will have:
- A super flexible attitude and genuine comfort with plans changing at short notice.
- A calm, steady demeanour even in a fast-paced environment.
- A natural ability to build quick rapport, especially with trade and construction professionals.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the initiative to make sound decisions independently.
- A clean driving record and proven experience driving a large van (manual transmission experience is required).
- Physical fitness with the capability to safely lift items up to 25kg unassisted.
- A proactive, relationship-focused mindset over a purely task-oriented one.
