Drafter Wanted In Singapore

We are looking for a Senior Structural Draftsperson or BIM Modeler with at least three years of experience in architectural and steel structural drawings. You will develop detailed construction shop drawings using AutoCAD and Tekla, manage submissions and revisions with clients, and conduct on-site measurements to resolve clarity gaps. This is not an entry-level drafting role. You need to understand how steel goes together, how architectural interfaces work, and how to communicate technical information clearly to clients and site teams. If you are meticulous, independent, and ready to take ownership of the drawing process from submission to approval, this role offers responsibility, competitive compensation, and career progression.

Company Overview

We are a established structural steel and architectural metalwork contractor serving Singapore’s construction and engineering sectors. Our projects range from commercial buildings and industrial facilities to infrastructure works requiring complex steel framing, architectural features, and precision fabrication.

Unlike large consulting firms, we are a contractor which means our drawings are not theoretical. They are built from. Every detail you model, every dimension you place, and every revision you coordinate directly impacts our fabrication shop and site erection teams. We need a draftsperson who understands that clarity in a drawing prevents rework on the ground. If you are looking for a role where your technical skill directly contributes to project success and you are valued for your expertise, you have found it.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop detailed construction shop drawings and fabrication details using AutoCAD and Tekla Structures software for architectural and steel structural projects.
  • Prepare 2D and 3D models, including BIM modeling, to accurately represent steel framing, connections, cladding interfaces, and architectural metalwork.
  • Manage the full submission and revision cycle with clients, consultants, and approval authorities, ensuring comments are addressed promptly and accurately.
  • Conduct on-site measurements and verification exercises with clients to resolve dimensional ambiguities, interface conflicts, or as-built discrepancies.
  • Coordinate closely with project managers, engineers, and fabrication teams to ensure drawings reflect constructible, cost-effective solutions.
  • Respond to technical queries from site teams and revise drawings as required to address field conditions.
  • Maintain organized drawing registers, revision histories, and submission records in accordance with company quality procedures.
  • Ensure all drawings comply with relevant Singapore building codes, SS standards, and client specifications.
  • Perform other ad-hoc duties as assigned to support project delivery and business development activities.
