Key Responsibilities
- Perform electrical installations, maintenance, and repairs on industrial sites in accordance with project specifications and safety requirements.
- Work nightshift rotations during scheduled shutdown periods ensuring all electrical work is completed within project timeframes.
- Interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and specifications to execute work accurately and efficiently.
- Conduct testing and inspection of electrical systems to verify compliance with Australian standards and site specific requirements.
- Collaborate with site supervisors and other trades to coordinate work activities and maintain project momentum.
- Adhere to all site safety protocols including lock out tag out procedures and safe work practices for live LV panel work.
- Complete required documentation including job reports, test records, and safety checklists accurately and on time.
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition ensuring all gear meets site requirements for safety and functionality.
Qualifications
A valid WA Electrical Licence is mandatory for this position along with a current WA White Card. Candidates must hold current CPR and First Aid certification specifically for live LV panel work. A current drivers licence is required. All applicants must be able to pass medical testing and drug and alcohol screening prior to commencing work. Industrial experience is an advantage and candidates who are Rio Tinto inducted will be highly regarded. Availability for an immediate start is essential as the upcoming shutdown schedule requires prompt mobilisation.
