Key Responsibilities
In this hands-on role, you’ll be involved in a variety of projects that keep the work interesting. Your key duties will include:
- Preparing and painting interior and exterior surfaces on repaint projects and new builds, ensuring a flawless, high-quality finish every time.
- Performing essential prep work such as plaster repairs, sanding, and masking to create the perfect canvas for painting.
- Hanging and applying wallpaper with precision for clients seeking that special touch.
- Operating and maintaining airless spray equipment efficiently and safely on suitable projects.
- Working collaboratively with the team on-site, maintaining a clean and organized workspace, and ensuring all safety protocols are followed.
Qualifications
We’re looking for a reliable team player who is as passionate about quality as we are. The right fit for our team will have:
- Proven experience in painting, with a bonus for those with formal qualifications. We welcome applications from 2nd or 3rd year apprentices, though qualified tradespeople are preferred.
- Practical experience with wallpapering is a helpful advantage.
- A strong, dependable work ethic with excellent punctuality and a commitment to seeing a job through to completion.
- A positive, can-do attitude and a genuine willingness to learn and grow your skills.
- The physical fitness required for the role, including comfort working at heights, lifting materials, and being on your feet for the day.
- A minimum of a restricted driver’s license and reliable own transport to get to various job sites.
- Must be drug-free, presentable, and someone who takes pride in representing our company professionally.
