Key Responsibilities

  • Undertake a variety of plumbing installation, maintenance, and repair tasks for residential and commercial clients.
  • Diagnose and resolve complex plumbing issues in a timely and efficient manner, providing expert advice and recommendations.
  • Liaise with clients, builders, and other tradespeople to coordinate work and ensure seamless project delivery.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment, complying with all health, safety, and quality standards.
  • Work unsupervised, run your own jobs, and train apprentices as needed.
  • Participate in ongoing training to stay up to date with industry developments and best practices.
  • Represent the company with a professional, courteous manner and a clean, presentable appearance.

Qualifications

A New Zealand registered or certified Plumber with a minimum of five years of experience in the trade is preferred, though applications with less experience will still be reviewed. A current clean full driver’s licence and current NZ Plumbing licence are required. Candidates must be able to pass a NZ Police Clearance check. Strong technical knowledge of plumbing systems, including installation, maintenance, and repair, is essential. The ability to diagnose and resolve complex plumbing issues efficiently is required. Excellent customer service skills and the ability to provide expert advice to clients are important. Candidates must be able to work safely and encourage others to do the same. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential for liaising with clients, contractors, and team members. A team player with a positive attitude, great sense of humour, and commitment to high quality workmanship is highly valued. Applicants must have NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa.
