Key Responsibilities

You will be a key player in the recycling process, ensuring materials are sorted correctly and efficiently. Your core duties will include:

• Manually sorting paper and other recyclable materials on fast-moving conveyor belts, removing any contaminants or non-compliant items.
• Performing routine pre-start checks on sorting equipment and reporting any issues to ensure smooth operations.
• Maintaining a clean and safe work area, including basic cleaning of machinery and general factory housekeeping.
• Handling manual tasks such as emptying bins, moving pallets, and correctly storing sorted materials.
• Adhering strictly to all workplace health and safety procedures, including the correct use of provided personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Working effectively as part of a team to meet daily sorting targets and support the overall workflow of the recycling facility.

Qualifications

We are looking for candidates who are reliable, safety-conscious, and ready for physical work. To be successful, you will need:

• Physical fitness and the ability to perform repetitive manual handling tasks while standing for extended periods.
• A strong, positive work ethic, reliability, and the ability to work well both independently and collaboratively.
• Excellent attention to detail to accurately identify and remove contaminants from the sorting line.
• A proactive safety-first mindset in all tasks.
• The ability to pass a pre-employment medical, drug & alcohol test, and obtain a police clearance.
