Your Core Responsibilities
In this role, you’ll be the key to maintaining a pristine and safe work environment. Your primary duties will include:
- Performing comprehensive cleaning tasks throughout the facility, including vacuuming, sweeping, dusting, and mopping floors.
- Ensuring all restrooms are cleaned, sanitized, and fully stocked with necessary supplies.
- Managing waste by collecting, emptying, and properly disposing of all trash and recyclables.
- Conducting floor care maintenance such as stripping, waxing, and buffing hard surfaces, as well as shampooing and applying anti-static treatments to carpets.
- Cleaning interior windows, light fixtures, and other building fixtures to maintain a bright, welcoming environment.
- Following all safety protocols and procedures while using cleaning chemicals and equipment.
- Completing any additional related duties as assigned to support the facilities team.
What We’re Looking For
To be successful in this position, you should meet the following requirements:
Required Qualifications:
- A High School diploma or equivalent.
- A minimum of two years of hands-on experience in custodial or commercial cleaning work.
- The ability to meet and maintain a government security clearance, which will involve a thorough background investigation.
- Strong physical stamina and mobility to perform demanding tasks, including extensive walking, stooping, bending, climbing, and lifting.
- The ability to reliably lift up to 60 pounds frequently and up to 100 pounds on occasion.
Helpful Skills and Abilities:
- Experience working safely at heights using ladders or stepladders.
- Keen attention to detail to recognize maintenance issues or safety concerns.
- Good communication skills and the ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions in English.
- A reliable, self-motivated work ethic and a commitment to following company policies and standards.
