Key Responsibilities
- Perform general labouring duties on construction sites including moving materials, setting up work areas, and assisting trades as required.
- Carry out site cleanup activities to maintain a safe and organised work environment throughout the duration of projects.
- Operate heavy rigid vehicles to transport materials, equipment, and personnel to and from project sites as needed.
- Assist with construction delivery works including supporting structural concrete activities and earthmoving operations.
- Follow all site safety protocols including the correct use of personal protective equipment and adherence to safe work practices.
- Work collaboratively with site supervisors and team members to ensure project tasks are completed efficiently and to quality standards.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in good condition reporting any safety concerns or equipment issues promptly.
- Adapt to different project requirements across Adelaide CBD and regional South Australia locations as work demands.
Qualifications
A Construction White Card is mandatory for this role as it demonstrates basic safety awareness for working on construction sites. A Heavy Rigid Truck Licence is also mandatory as driving duties are an essential component of the position. An Elevated Work Platform Licence and a Working at Heights Licence are advantageous and will be highly regarded. Candidates must have their own transport or a reliable way to get to work each day. Applicants must reside in Australia and hold valid working rights. The ability to meet any client requirements including COVID-19 vaccination where required by health orders and successfully pass a drug and alcohol test is essential.
