Key Responsibilities
Your day-to-day role will be hands-on and impactful. You’ll be essential in bringing our products to life, with duties that include:
- Prioritizing safety above all else by following all established rules and procedures.
- Reading shop orders and blueprints to understand project specifications.
- Safely moving materials to and from work areas using equipment like forklifts and overhead cranes.
- Operating machinery to punch, notch, or form metal parts with precision.
- Conducting thorough quality checks using measuring tapes, calipers, and templates to ensure every part meets our high standards.
- Accurately reporting production counts and any scrapped materials through our computer system.
- Labeling finished parts correctly and maintaining a clean, organized workspace.
- Participating in team-based lean manufacturing initiatives to help us continuously improve.
Qualifications
We are looking for reliable team players who are eager to learn and grow. While we value formal training, a strong work ethic is most important.
- The ability to lift 50 lbs and comfort working on your feet for extended periods.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including days, evenings, nights, and weekends, as required.
- A team-oriented mindset and a commitment to quality work.
- Experience using basic measuring tools is highly beneficial.
- Any background in manufacturing, especially metal fabrication, is a great advantage.
- Familiarity with forklifts, overhead cranes, CNC equipment, or blueprint reading will make you a standout candidate.
- Post-secondary training in metal fabrication is a plus, but not required.
